Yes we are a farm, so the farm work continues each day alongside the direct work of the charity. It is an ongoing balancing act as the purpose of the farm from the beginning was supporting the young people in our community who need a hand up. Our highest priority is always the young people but to enable that mentoring and training to happen safely, and the animals and plants to be cared for properly, the infrastructure needs to be established in the background.

Thank you to the efforts of Kerry Rumble transporting concrete blocks from the McKenzie family in Vincentia we have the beginnings of both our silage bunker and a propagation material bunker. These structures will be made up of one hundred and twenty (1200kg) concrete blocks and will enable us to store much needed pasture feed for our animals in winter, and in a separate area, keep the material we need to make our plant propagation mixes up off the ground for easy access.
