Some of our many volunteers

Some of the ways volunteers contribute

There are many reasons people volunteer.  Earlier this year we asked our volunteers if they could tell us why they volunteer with us.  There were many answers, but one thing they all agreed on, was that it mattered that they were giving time to something that was making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.

In May we celebrated National Volunteer Week by acknowledging the amazing contribution volunteers have made over the 20 years since the inception of A Taste of Paradise. The amazing skills, talents and ideas our incredible volunteers have brought and continue to bring to this work, have made it into the place it is, a special place that helps to change the lives of kids who face hardships and trauma.

Every one of our volunteers is valued, as our Executive Director Tim Francis said, “We just couldn’t do what we do without our incredible team of volunteers”. We are always interested in hearing from people who have the time and skills to contribute to our work with kids in need.  While our volunteers do not work with the kids, what they do, helps us to continue to support the kids who come to the farm.

Are you local to the Berry region? If you are and have some time to spare, we would love to hear from you. We are currently seeking people who are interested in talking to people, to help us run our stall each Thursday at the Berry Farmers Market, people with good admin skills and people with experience in fundraising.

If this sounds like you, send us an email at info@atasteofparadise.org.au or call our volunteer office manager on 0490 060 251.
