The new highway construction is moving ahead at pace now. You can see in this photo the bridge girders being lifted in place where the highway crosses Broughton Creek next to the farm. Being so close to the construction has been an education as the average person (me) has got no idea how big it will actually be. The thousands of tonnes of material being moved, the size of the machinery, and the logistics of making it all happen are hard to comprehend.
We trust that it will all be worthwhile and lives will be saved on our section of the highway upgrade!
