Take a look at the newest addition to the farm. Here is Samson on his first introduction to his new home. At only about 8 weeks old, this cute little Maremma puppy arrived from Queensland, ready to be trained in guarding our poultry. Looking fluffy and fresh, straight from a puppy bath, Sam was raised on a chicken farm so has no problem with running around with the chickens and saying hello to our two adult dogs, Lano and Woodley.
After staying a few weeks at Tim and Andy’s to grow a bit bigger, Sam is now being brought to the farm through the day to get used to the new living arrangement. He is already a great hit with the young people attending the farm and they have the opportunity to learn about greeting, holding, feeding and grooming a puppy. The affection Samson shows is great therapy for our young people who often feel isolated by some of the situations they face. There are plans to obtain a companion for Samson. If you would like to donate towards purchasing the next puppy, you can deposit straight into our bank account (BSB 082 435 Account no. 194181400 and put puppy in the info section). We are always grateful for community support.
You will see more photos on Facebook of this engaging little pup as he grows and takes his place with the other animals at A Taste of Paradise Farm.
