It is always hard to say goodbye to good people, even when you know they are moving onto something special.

In the 15 months Matt has worked at A Taste of Paradise Farm (Atop), he has been a vital and valued member of our team and a gifted mentor to the young people he has worked with.

When Matt joined the Atop team in August 2019, he took on a part time role with us, mentoring kids in need, while he also continued to finish his studies. We would like to congratulate Matt as he recently completed his tertiary course and has been offered a full-time role in his field of expertise.

In December 2020, Matt will be leaving us to join an Anglican College, in a learning support role, where he will support students who are having learning difficulties as well as mentor those young people who are having non-academic struggles.  Matt will tailor learning programs working together with teachers to ensure that every young person gets the opportunity to reach their full potential. The experience Matt has gained in developing learning programs and working with young people at the farm, will hold him in good stead as he takes on this new role.

We know that Matt will excel in this role as we have seen how he has come beside the young people he has mentored at the farm, having a positive life-impact in their lives. We wish Matt and his family much joy and success as they take this next step together.
