Westpac

In May, we were thrilled to be contacted by Nicole Carter, the Manager of Westpac Nowra. Nicole told us that she would like to nominate A Taste of Paradise for a Westpac Community Grant from the Westpac Foundation, in recognition of the work we do with at-risk and disadvantaged young people in our community.

One of our amazing volunteers submitted the grant application, which included $10,000 and valuable non-financial support in the form of skilled volunteering from passionate Westpac Group Employees.  We are so happy to announce that A Taste of Paradise are one of the community organisations awarded this generous Westpac Community Grant for 2019.

The financial part of the grant will be used to train staff in skills which inform and increase their knowledge in their work with the young people who come to the farm, especially in the areas of trauma informed practice, disability training and current mental health practices.

We are a small organisation with a big vision that relies on grants and donations to continue to make a life impacting difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.  We are extremely grateful to Nicole Carter for her nomination and to the Westpac Foundation for their acknowledgement and support of the work we do with kids in need.
