Jerry has been an enthusiastic and valuable volunteer at A Taste of Paradise Farm for over 6 years. He and his wife, Sue, are about to embark on an adventure back to England to join their son and his family. We wish them the best in the next chapter of their life and we know the family will be excited to have them close, especially as twin grandchildren are expected soon.
While we are pleased Jerry and Sue can reunite with family, we will also be sad to see them go. Jerry has been attending the farm every week to assist with whatever projects we are working on and to offer his support with the grounds, the garden and the maintenance. On top of this physical support, Jerry has been searching online and applying for any suitable grants that benefit the farm and the young people who attend. He has been successful in many areas, raising many thousands of dollars, and our charity runs smoother and more effectively with all the effort Jerry has contributed.
It was a pleasure to share a meal with Jerry and Sue recently and we hope the gifts of the lovely canvas print will remind them of the time at the farm and the merino wool scarf will be a reminder of the time they have spent in Australia. We thank Jerry for using his skills for our benefit and we will miss the friendly smile and laughter we have enjoyed whenever he attended the farm too. Safe travels to you both.
